To show that Gods desire for our lives is to reach out to and serve others.


These are meant to spark conversation within your group. Use one, use none, or use them all. Most importantly feel out where your group is at and get them talking. You can find some ice breaker games / discussions in the leader hub as well!

  • How was your Christmas break?

  • What’s a favorite memory you have with a friend / friends?

  • What is something you and your friends do together that you always look forward to?


READ LUKE 10:25-37

Encourage your Crew to open their Bibles (or app) and ask one of them to read the passage.

  • Jesus answers the mans question with a story. After reading the story, who do you think your neighbor is?

READ JOHN 13:34-35

  • Jesus here says that the world will know you follow Him by you doing one thing. What is that thing?


  • After reading the passage in Luke and knowing who your neighbor is, what can you personally do to “love your neighbor as yourself”?
  • why do you think the two other men passed by? Why would you pass by? 
  • In the passage in John Jesus emphasizes the importance in also loving and treating well other believers. Why is that important and what does that look like?


  • God is always putting people on our path that need us to share God’s love and people for us to serve. Who is someone that God is calling you to that you might have been avoiding?

  • Is there something that keeps you from reaching out to others when God prompts you? If you’re comfortable, share with the group and pray together for each other.
