We are so excited that you are interested in serving students from all across Coweta County at Fusion Conference! This conference cannot happen without all of our hardworking volunteers coming together to make this weekend something that these students will never forget. Below you will find listed several different options for volunteering at FC19. You may see one that you are interested in, or you may be interested in a combination of several. Read the descriptions below, fill out your information, and then check all volunteer roles that you are wanting to serve in.
At Fusion Conference we have 3 different volunteer roles. You may only be able to do one, or you may be able to do all three, or a combination of any two. One of our favorite parts of Fusion Conference is that students will stay in Grade and Gender specific host homes. This gets them out of their normal environment and surrounds them with other students their age. The relationships that are forged in host homes last, and the small group times that happen here have an impact on theses students that they won’t forget. This makes Host Homes one of the most important aspects of Fusion Conference. As a Host Home you are offering your home to be used as a place for students to stay over the course of the weekend. Students would arrive Friday night, wake up and leave for the conference Saturday morning, arrive back after service projects and get ready for dinner, leave for the Saturday night session, arrive back after the late night activity (approx. 11:30 PM) and then pack up and leave the host home for Sunday morning services at Crossroads. Each host home has different limitations on the number of students they can hold. Every host home would also have a Crossroads approved adult leader over the students in those home (sometimes two leaders depending on the size of the group). If being a host home is something you are interested in, please also let us know how many students you can host in the other info section.
Fusion Conference leaders also share a big role in making the weekend happen. Leaders are with a group of students at all times. They lead them in small groups, stay with them in host homes, attend sessions with them, and are with them through every part of the weekend from students drop off on Friday night to student pick up on Sunday morning. As a FC19 leader you would be assigned a group of students who will meet you when they arrive Friday night. Your responsibility as a Fusion Conference leader is to help remove all distractions for your students, have a blast with them, and make sure that the weekend is one they will never forget.
We want to make sure that Fusion Conference is a distraction free, worry free weekend for students. For that reason and others students are not allowed to drive during Fusion Conference. Students can drive themselves to the conference on Friday night, leave their car at Crossroads, and then drive home Sunday morning. Drivers would be responsible for driving a group of students to and from all conference events. This includes to host homes on Friday night, to the morning session on Saturday morning, to service projects Saturday afternoon, from service projects to host homes, to dinner Saturday night, back to Crossroads for the Saturday night session, to the late night activity Saturday night, back to host homes, and then finally to Crossroads Church for the 11am service. Please list below in the other info section how many students you would be able to fit in your car.
Maybe none of the above options work for you that weekend. Whether it be work, family calendar, or any other reasons we still have a role for you! We have several other needs like set up, tear down, lobby decoration, greeting and many others. Whether you are available for a short time on one day of the conference, or for a whole day, please let us know below.
