Nursery

Your little one is going to love our Nursery – it is a fun and loving place to be. Your baby will be loved on and cared for while having a great time learning about God and connecting with other young children. We want you to be able to relax and focus on your time at worship, knowing that your child is having fun and learning in a safe and secure environment.

Can we give you a nursery tour?

Stop by the Nursery Check-in Counter any weekend at the beginning of any service for a tour of our nursery.

Do you have a new addition to your family?

Please take a moment to let us know by emailing Justin Goode for Highway 16, Jennifer Doolittle for Highway 154, or Chloe Walker for Senoia. We would love to celebrate with you by sending you a gift. We will also update your family’s record so that your little one will be ready for his first day in the nursery. Once your record is updated, you will begin to receive news regarding the nursery, the Dedicate class, baby dedication, and other events. Thank you for taking the time to share your good news with us!

Preschool

As each child enters into the “Reel Kids Ministry” we want to partner with parents to raise children to know 3 main truths. We call them our “Bottom Line”.

God Made Me.

God Loves Me.

Jesus Wants to be My Friend Forever.

This is a great foundation for each child to have in their heart as they become the next generation of disciples.

We are committed to giving preschoolers a place where they can worship like a preschooler! Their services are held at the same time as the adult services each weekend. Children may be checked in 15 minutes prior to each service.

Our high energy environment includes large group and small group teaching. Large group consists of creative storytelling, drama, and music. In small group they participate in fun, interactive activities to help them apply what they learned in large group. For more information on the preschool ministry, please contact Chante Mitchell.

Elementary

Reel Kids believes in the “Orange” strategy. The church is the light of the world (YELLOW) and the heart of the home is RED. When they are combined together it makes ORANGE. Together, they have the potential to make a greater impact on the next generation of disciples. Reel Kids approaches ministry with the end in mind. Before each child leaves our ministry we want them to know the HIGH 5s.

God sent Jesus to give me life!

    God’s Word is true!

God loves me know matter what!

I need to love others the way God loves me!

I need to make the wise choice!

We strive to provide children’s worship on their level. Their services are held at the same time as the adult services each weekend. Children will learn about God’s Word through a large group time including music, drama, video, and creative Bible stories. They will also participate in a small group time to follow up on the large group message. For more information on our children’s ministries, please contact Justin Goode.

We want you to be able to relax, knowing that your child is having fun and learning in a safe and secure environment. All of our adult volunteers are screened with a background check. Each classroom is staffed with at least two volunteers. Children’s classrooms open 15 minutes before each service.

God Time Cards - are tools you can use to talk to your child about what he/she is learning during the weekend service. Monthly Parent Cue Cards – are designed to help parents join the conversation we are having with the kids throughout the month.  Both of these tools are now combined in the Family Group Guide.  For more information, click here.

Klub Glow

Crossroads Church places a high priority on making children with special needs feel comfortable, safe, and loved during their time here. We understand that each child is unique, and requires different levels of care. The goal of Klub Glow is to include the children in the regular flow of weekend church by assigning them a “buddy” that will provide them with the extra attention they need. Every buddy has been screened and trained.

What is a buddy?

Our Special Needs Leaders each have experience working with children of various ages and levels of severity. Although most leaders are adults, we do allow high school students to participate in "Buddy Training." Buddies are to stay with each special needs child for the entire service, making sure they feel comfortable throughout worship, game time, large group, and small group. We want to match each child with a leader that best fits his/her needs.

Sensory room

Crossroads now offers a sensory room for children who choose not to participate in the regular weekend events. Our sensory room is also open to people with special needs up to age 21. The volunteers in our sensory room are also trained and screened.

Baby Dedication

CONGRATULATIONS on the birth of your new baby! In the midst of all that is changing in your home with the addition of your new baby, we invite you to take a moment to focus on what really matters most.

Dedicate is an opportunity for new parents to present their child to the Lord and make public their commitment to teach their child the truths of the Christian faith, to set a Christian example before them, to bring their child up in the instruction and discipline of the Lord and to encourage their child to accept Christ as his or her Savior under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

To accomplish this, parents must dedicate time, love, attention, and so much more. No one will have more influence on your child than YOU! It is our hope that we can partner with you from the very beginning. We want to be your biggest fans, your strongest supporters, and your trusted guides as you raise your child to know what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Dedicate is more than a baby dedication event and is not an infant baptism. We believe that when people are old enough to understand what it means to put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, they should have the opportunity to make that choice for themselves. A preschooler may not be able to understand sin, forgiveness, the sacrifice our Savior made for us, and what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Dedicate is both the opportunity for you to take some time at the beginning of your journey as a parent to really think about what will matter the most in the life of your child; to really talk together and decide what you value and what you can do today that will have the greatest impact on your child’s future and a celebration of your commitment. We are excited to be a part of your family’s spiritual growth and are honored to be a part of this special time in your life.

Parents must attend the class in order to participate in the “Dedication Celebration.” “Dedication Celebrations” are held three times a year on Sunday afternoons at 4:00.

We look forward to celebrating this special event with you!
